By fostering collaboration between education, business, and research communities, the hub helps ensure that Lithuanian innovators are well-connected, well-supported, and well-positioned to solve societal challenges and scale their impact across borders.
About the EIT Community Hub
The EIT Community Hub Lithuania connects national stakeholders with the broader European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) ecosystem. It’s provides access to EIT Community opportunities in education, business creation, and innovation support — including acceleration programmes, venture building, training, networking, and funding instruments.
The hub brings together entrepreneurs and researchers from ambitious start-ups, SMEs, corporates, universities, research centres, and public institutions, offering a one-stop platform to engage with EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) across climate change, energy, health, food, manufacturing, raw materials, digitalisation, urban mobility, water and culture & creativity sectors.

About the EIT Community Officer
Gintaras Vilda
EIT Community Officer Lithuania
Gintaras Vilda is a prominent Lithuanian innovation policy and industry expert with more than 25 years of experience across public governance, private sector leadership, and international cooperation.
He currently serves as CEO of JSC “Pažangios inovacijos” which is coordinator of Manufacturing Innovation Valley (DIH), board member of LINPRA (Engineering and Technology Industries Association of Lithuania), and Chairman of the Council at TECHIN, a national VET centre. Gintaras previously held the position of Vice-Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania and served as an international innovation expert at the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists. He is also an active contributor to EU-level strategic groups such as Manufuture EU, EFFRA, and several high-level European Commission forums.
Gintaras brings a systems-level view of Lithuania’s industrial transition, championing Industry 4.0, skills development, cross-sector collaboration, and internationalisation of innovation actors.
