About the EIT Community RIS Hub
Advancing the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem is crucial for fostering economic growth due to its multifaceted impact on various sectors. A robust innovation ecosystem attracts foreign direct investment, encouraging global companies to establish a presence in Ukraine. This influx of capital enhances research and development capabilities, creating a knowledge-driven economy that contributes to technological advancements. Advancing the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem is pivotal for economic growth as it attracts investment, nurtures entrepreneurship, and fosters collaboration, ultimately positioning the country as a competitive player in the global economy.
EIT Funding & Impact
Ukraine received a total of around EUR 999 000 in EIT grants in 2022. This amount is EUR 993 000 higher than the funding received in 2021 and it was directed to Ukrainian organisations via six EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities. The largest share in 2022 (EUR 660 000) was dedicated to higher education. To further advance the on the ground presence in Ukraine, the EIT Community RIS Hub Ukraine was inaugurated in January 2024 under the lead of EIT Community Officer Mr. Ihor Markevych.

Надійна інноваційна екосистема залучає прямі іноземні інвестиції, заохочуючи глобальні компанії бути присутніми в Україні. Цей приплив капіталу розширює можливості досліджень і розробок, створюючи економіку, що керується знаннями та сприяє технологічному прогресу. Розвиток української інноваційної екосистеми має ключове значення для економічного зростання, оскільки він залучає інвестиції, розвиває підприємництво та сприяє співпраці, позиціонуючи країну як конкурентоспроможного гравця у світовій економіці.
Фінансування та вплив ЗНО
Україна отримала загалом близько 999 000 євро ґрантів EIT у 2022 році. Ця сума на 993 000 євро перевищує фінансування, отримане у 2021 році. Фінансування українським організаціям спрямовується через шість EIT Knowledge та Innovation Communities. Найбільша частка у 2022 році (660 000 євро) була спрямована на підтримку вищої освіти. Для подальшого розвитку в Україні в січні 2024 року відкрили EIT Community RIS Hub Ukraine під керівництвом Ігоря Маркевича, представника спільноти EIT.
