In August 2024, the EIT Community Officer facilitated a key connection between Nicosia Municipality and EIT Urban Mobility, enabling the municipality’s successful entry into the RAPTOR 2025 programme. This collaboration exemplifies EIT’s commitment to generating tangible results for Cyprus, with Nicosia setting a precedent for other organisations to follow.
Through its participation in RAPTOR, Nicosia Municipality secured €40,000 in funding to tackle an urban mobility challenge affecting the city. This achievement also underscores the mission of the EIT Community RIS Hub Cyprus, which serves as a vital bridge connecting Cyprus to EIT’s extensive resources and opportunities.
By fostering connections and empowering local stakeholders, the EIT CRH Cyprus plays a critical role in driving innovation and collaboration across the island, ensuring it benefits from EIT’s pan-European network of expertise.
